Austin Evans is an associate in the Medical/Medical Device, Pharmaceutical and Professional Liability practice groups in the Philadelphia office of Lavin, O’Neil, Ricci, Cedrone & DiSipio. He defends many cases, on both the state and federal levels, involving diverse claims against international corporations.
Mr. Evans has gained substantial experience defending a wide variety of claims against healthcare-related entities and has handled all aspects of defense, ranging from pre-suit investigations through trial. He has prepared and argued various dispositive motions in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has also conducted arbitrations, expert witness depositions and has negotiated numerous favorable settlements for clients in complex litigation.
Mr. Evans graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia in 2002, where he was a research assistant in the cognitive psychology lab. He earned his Juris Doctor, with an advanced certificate in Health Law, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2005, where he was elected to the Order of the Barristers. He also was a recipient of the Jonas Salk Health Fellowship in 2003 – 2004 and was a member of the National Health Law Moot Court team in 2004.
Mr. Evans is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is currently a member of Defense Research Institute (DRI) and the Philadelphia Bar Association.

In his spare time, Mr. Evans enjoys snow skiing, traveling and outdoor activities.
